Our Goal
Examine user perception on the game and specific keywords related to its image.
To investigate whether Candy Crush’s tactic of hedonic features provide satisfaction or hinder it.
Method 1: Questionnaire
50 candy crush users (both male and female) participated in a survey about their perceptions of Candy Crush as a whole and its tactics.

Method 2: Interview (multi factor analysis)
Candy Crush users were observed through a semi structured interview on how they view the game and in another sense how they viewed motivation in playing the game.

Type of players:

Based on the survey, the players can be characterized as: casual players, low frequency players, long-term players and loyal players. Additionally, many Candy Crush players play other games. Some find Candy Crush inferior to the game they play; others, think that Candy Crush is superior to the other games they play.
Game short-comings:
Based on the responses, the main short-comings were limited lives and technical issues. The limited lives made some people feel the need to play continuously and some, want to continue playing after losing lives.

Feelings:

User’s feelings while playing, after playing and overall feeling can be divided into negative and positive experiences. In terms of immersiveness, many people didn't pay much attention to detail and the rest were not feeling fully immersed in the ga
Motivation to play:

Candy Crush players expressed that their motivation to continue playing is boredom, set goals and desire to win. Additionally, influence from other players and social connection played a part in motivating gamers to play.
Wordcloud:

A wordcloud regarding these factors were created to single out the main category related motivation of users in the game.
