Internal system refers to the cycle of how players interact with the game and how players may get addicted to the game. Players play the game with no initial cost, but may feel the need to continue the game, therefore making in-app purchases. Players can also play the game on the website, consoles and on the application from the designated store.

External System refers to the ecosystem of the outward forces that basically keep the game running. The external system consists of ads, user referral, and social media. Through these means, an ecosystem is created for the game to thrive in. Players can ask other Candy Crash players for extra lives through social media, users may also share their progress of the game on their social media which then advertises the game to non-players/users. The game is also advertised to users through ads which brings revenue to the game creators. Within the gaming system players can make transactions to get extra lives or power-ups.
